Not like an app purchased from the App Store!

Once ordered, this does not appear as an App Store purchase - it cannot be cancelled. I questioned this and was told to check my credit card statement to find when and where I signed up. Then to go to Account Settings>Subscription Management. Select Cancel Subscription. DOESN’T WORK! But then I was told they will need to transfer me to their support team for that process. I THOUGHT I I WAS TALKING TO SUPPORT! I’ve been with Carb Manager for quite a while now. I don’t know what happened to them?

Easy Peasy!

I really like this app. It has a lot of food options and you can easily add foods that you cannot find. I try to eat low carb and track my total carbs—not net. This app also lets you know if the foods you select are keto friendly or not. I also like how it gives you the percentages to track your macros.

Carb Mgr is awesome

I have been using carb manager to track my carb intake the last few months. I love the app! I’ve lost 7 pounds. I track daily and weekly see a summary if I want.

Most effective weight management tool

There’s so much to like about this app. The ability to determine macro count for original recipes and the extensive product data base combined with the ease of adding new ones. This is singularly the most effective tool in attaining my weight goals.

Great app, simple & effective

Great app for tracking macros, scanning food function is a big help. You can also create your own custom entries. I like the layout, makes viewing all the vital details easy. Other apps feel too convoluted in my opinion.

Best App Out There!

I have been using this app for a number of years, and every time I have to go through any kind of weight loss, this app has saved me! Every single time, I lose weight because it helps me control my portions, helps me to track, and log my food. I could not be happier. Definitely recommend for anybody going on a low carb diet.

Great for tracking progress

This is by far one of my favorite apps to use for tracking what I eat and tracking my physical activity and making sure I maintain a high protein diet with a calorie deficit or if I’m bulking a high protein intake in a calorie surplus if you’re looking for something, that’s a little bit more structured that has a giant library of food and foods that you can log.

This is my go to app. I’ve tried so many other apps but this is the one that works for me. I just use the free version and it works perfectly fine. I’ve lost 12 pounds already.

Won’t sync with Apple Watch anymore Update: fixed!! <3

Update: it’s fixed 🥰 I’ve been using carb manager for years and pay for premium. Today it won’t sync my Apple Watch fitness data. I did exercise through my quest 2 and it was able to sync to other health apps and the Apple health app. But the health app wouldn’t sync to carb manager. So I restarted my phone and unconnected the health app from carb manager and now it won’t let me reconnect. I think the link is broken because it sends me to the App Store. It’s not a big deal but kind of annoying. Update: yasss it’s fixed! Thank you! <3

Syncing fitness device is now a premium feature.

Ive had the free version with capability to sync my Apple Watch stats for a very long time. With a misplaced thumb, I accidentally disconnected it from the app’s settings, and then I tried to reconnect it. But now it’s apparently a premium feature. Man, a disappointment to say the least. And now, I might as well take the chance to say app is, while certainly decent with a good user base and reliable resource to pull from, it’s definitely clunky in places and more confusing than other apps, but the feature I loved was the free syncing of my watch. What a shame—oh, and for goodness sake, the incessant prompts for Premium….All in all, we had a good run, but the change to sync my watch being premium is enough to part ways, I think. Thanks.

Great App for Carb Counting

I really enjoy this app. It shows you macros and breaks down what you should be eating in a day. I always thought of carbs vs calories. You can see what you’ve eaten for each meal - carbs, protein, calories and fat. You can’t fail if you follow the guidelines. Things that could be improved are recipes. You can find all kinds of great recipes on this app with nutritional info attached. That’s awesome. What’s not awesome is the fact when you like a recipe it shows up in your food list instead of it’s own little folder. If you like a bunch in one day it’s just messy. It would also be easier logging food if the food you have already scanned shows up in your food folder first vs every single food similar. You want your info to be correct with what you’ve eaten and it takes forever to find your brand , if you find it at all. So much food is prepped ahead and packages get thrown out. My last gripe is about fiber. It’s so important in any diet. I wish the app added in the drop down where you get your fiber from. It lists every other important part of your diet including vitamins and potassium and such but not your fiber. This should be a huge part of daily numbers. All and all though I’m very pleased with the app and I’m glad it was recommended to me Update :: my Apple Watch isn’t syncing today and unsure what’s the cause. I don’t want to delete in case I lose my info Please help

With the recent update, it stopped counting my steps from my Apple Watch as well as allowing me to reconnect to Apple heath. Hopefully there’s a fix for this soon, been using this app for the last five years

Won’t sync

After using this app for 270 days with no problems now it won’t sync to my apple health app. When you click to connect to apple health a link pops up to download the app! I ALREADY HAVE THE APP! Then you go to support and no one will answer to help you! It’s getting deleted!

Great app

I've been using this app for about a year now. It's easy to use and helpful. I wished that you had a Protein version of this app as I am more focused on lifting weights. I'm so used to this app that I don't want to switch. I have a lot of foods already logged and starting over would be inconvenient. All of your meals are keto focused and would love to have something Protein focused. Great app however. I definitely recommend it.

Fast Counter

This app has truly captured my heart! I've been a dedicated user for years now, enjoying every feature it offers in the free version. However, there's one enhancement I dream of: a fasting tracker or counter. It would be such a wonderful addition, allowing me to seamlessly monitor my fasting periods while I continue to make the most of this fantastic tool.

Meal planning crashes/bad support

The app seems pretty decent until you meal plan. Constantly crashes half way through and no way to save til you get it to finish. This has been an issue for at least a year, which is pretty poor when you’re paying for the premium plan. I asked for help from support and they only provided a basic list of making sure I was on WiFi and no other apps were running. No fixes were provided and no updates have fixed this issue.

Not impressed

Maybe I’m just too stupid for this app, but a lot of things are not adding up. It’s too complicated. This app tells me one minute I’m under my carbs, then I’m not. I can’t tell because it’s not telling me the right amounts the day of, but then the next day it’s says I went over. I’ve even purposely lied to see what would happen. I know how to do the math. I also have a written journal. They don’t match.

Have Used for Many Years-

I have to finally leave a review. This is THE BEST app no matter what your goal is. I am now in perimenopause and adjusting my diet because fasting and low carb no longer work for me. I have to Carb cycle in order to ever get out of stress mode /carb burn. I change my macros daily. I also take breaks for hormone feasting and I have found I can no longer fast. I use this exclusively for my macros. I use a Lumen device only to see if I’m in Carb burn(aka stress mode) or fat burn- fat burn has been elusive lately. I also use Lumen to see if I need to fuel up before a workout. I HAVE to keep stress to a minimum now. I have used many other food logging platforms and Carb manager is the best. I love having the database, entering my own food when necessary and scheduling recurring meals like my crazy superfoods coffee. It’s just so much easier and yet adaptable. This one can’t be beat and has helped keep me stay at a normal size range for a very long time- which is also a bonus- it’s always been there for me- never just disappeared like some apps do. If I don’t track- I go up sizes, get frustrated, start tracking again to rein it in. I Carb cycle and when I take a diet break, I can adjust my macros to a window of maintenance and not feel bad- even if it’s just a day out of the week- you can see your numbers for gaining weight and know you’re no where close and not beat yourself up and just keep going. This app is truly my trusted best friend!

Lost 50 pounds in 8 weeks

Easy to use. It has showed me how to get more food for the calories. I now eat less still and am still on my journey. Push forward .. don’t give up

No trial for premium

This might be a good app, but one of the primary components I’m looking for is a meal planner with recipes for special diets (specifically vegan + celiac/gluten-free). I was pleased to see that there are “programs” for both vegan and GF diets, but one must be a premium member to look at them. I have no problem paying for the app, but I’d like to be able to assess what I’m paying for. If there are only 7 vegan keto recipes (or 21 for 3 meals/day), that’s not worth it to me. If there’s a reasonably substantial library of easy prep options and if I can combine vegan + GF filters and STILL find variety, I’d probably pay double the cost. As it stands, without a premium trial (which seems pretty standard for most paid apps), I can’t evaluate whether this app will meet my primary need, which merits my 2-star “unsatisfactory” rating.

Solid but Premium is slightly flawed

The free aspect of the app is great and very useful. The scan option is a huge help. The only flaw I’ve found is on the Premium side with recipes. There’s a web search option for recipes and what pops up is not even close to Keto or responsible for healthy eating. I typed in “sausage” and the first recipe had 54 net carbs and that wasn’t even the highest. You’d be better off searching the web yourself. That’s nothing major but perhaps that tab needs to be removed from the app. Overall, I love the app.

Doesn’t save macro goal preferences

App works ok for the most part, but have experienced several issues saving my macros and goals and app reverting back to previously saved goals. Also does not easily find previously logged foods, wish the filter setting worked better. Seems glitchy and I pay for the upgraded version.

I’ve been using this app for several years now and I have to say that even though I mostly eat minimally processed food at home, occasionally when I do purchase processed foods it’s awesome that I can scan it and go straight into my app highly recommend!

Used to be great…

I’ve used this app on my iPhone regularly for years and had no complaints until they modified the section that allows you to add multiple foods for a meal. It’s next to impossible to position your finger in the tiny space allocated for adding foods. You have about the width of a quarter to fit your finger in. I have accidentally deleted several foods due to the new configuration. I contacted customer service about this problem and received the following reply: “We really appreciate receiving your feedback and are sharing it with the appropriate teams.” Doesn’t give me much confidence that this will be addressed.

Carb tracking-good Fasting tracker - the worst

I’ve used this app on and off for years for tracking my food, so I decided to purchase to use the fasting tracker and it’s worse than basic. You can’t just pick the time you’re starting and do 48 hours. You have to pick a program. It doesn’t continue into the next day. If you wanna do a long fast, you have to set up each day. Sorry, I wasted my money using another app to track my fasting.

Been using for YEARS

This is my favorite go to app for tracking macros and progress. I started with it because I started keto but even after stopping keto and reworking my macro calculator it’s still my go to. Even as a mid level fitness influencer now this is the app I recommend to my clients and audience every time.

Meal planning

The app keeps refreshing after I nearly finish my meal planning for a week, causing everything I just did to reset. I have yet to set up one week of meal planning since paying for a years worth of subscription.

Worth using

I used this to help keep track of my carbs, protein, fat and calories. Sometimes finding the foods and using the quantity scales is a little confusing. However, I achieved my goal of 36# weight loss and a clean bill of health on my liver thanks in part to this little app. I recommend it.

Great for beginners and experts

This app is great at helping you stay on track with any nutrition goals. Logging food is so simple with the barcode scanner and search options. I know exactly where my macros are at after logging nutrition with the app. Highly recommend.

Great Affordable Calorie Tracking App

Carb Manager is a great app with an easy-to-use dashboard and excellent visualizations for tracking daily progress. While there are occasional delays in recording and searching for food in the database, it’s not a huge issue for me. I love that it includes international dishes, but the food database could use a bit more variety—some dishes I enter aren’t listed. It’s also the most affordable calorie tracking app I’ve found. Overall, a solid tool for tracking my calorie and carb intake.

This app is user friendly, easy to use, and has so much information about foods at many restaurants. It helps me stay on track of my goals and has a free version that works so well for me!

Love the app! Suggestion

Been using this for a couple years and to me much simpler than some of the more popular choices out there for counting macros. Suggestions is when using grams or anything you may need to go over 100, it would be much easier to have a type in option instead of having to scroll all the way to a high number. Also not capping at 100 would be helpful too! Regardless love the help just trying to make it even more user friendly!

Love this! I find other tracks to be a headache to use. This app is my favorite tracker app! Even though I’m no longer doing keto but wanting to pay attention to what I’m eating. Favorite way to use it is by making it a Widget on my iPhone. Thank you Carb Manager app!!
